That's a bummer man. I would've gone into the clubhouse on my way out and complained both about the player and about the marshal who did not do his job in ejecting a player who was obviously acting in an unsafe and threatening manner towards other golfers. Good call leaving instead of fighting though.

Shot a 2-under 29 at the local 9 hole executive course. Was playing with my buddy who's new to the game. He was as pumped as me when I dropped a 60 foot bird and a 40 foot bird on consecutive holes.

Played the local 9 hole short course (par 31) that I played while I was learning. Went +2 with one bird & 3 bogeys. All 3 bogeys were just mental mistakes so I'm not worried about them. My swing feels pretty solid right now.

I practiced about a month or so at the range before I went out there. Just wanted to be able to get the ball in the air a majority of the time. I just took my friend out for his first round (on the local 9 hole short course) and he'd only been to the range twice before. He went +32 with two bogeys his first time out. We made sure we let the two groups that came up behind us go through since we were moving slow.

62 is a hell of a round

Shot an 82 today. Hit 5 greens on the front and at one point had 3 3-putt bogeys in a row. I almost snapped my putter. Staggered to +10 on the front 9, and finished with 9 consecutive pars on the back. Finished with 8 fairways, 10 GIRs, & 34 putts. SO frustrating knowing I couldve gone much lower today...

I walked 45 one day when I was 19. I was also young and in better shape at the time lol. There's no way I could imagine doing that now...

About 4 years ago I went 59-40 at Coyote Moon up near Tahoe in CA. At the turn I put my woods into my dad's bag and told him not to let me have them back LOL. Dropped a downhill 20 footer that broke both directions to keep it out of triple digits.

What types of drills have you been working on with the putter?

Haven't made the putt yet. Been close, but just hasn't dropped. I went through a span for a few years where I just quit going for par 5's in two. I was playing far too conservatively for a long time.

My tempo of my swing has been way too fast. Working on slowing down and swinging smooth.

I played there in 2008 with one of my buddies on a golf vacation but couldn't remember the name of it until I read it just now lol. We played it on sunday and I scraped together a string of pars and managed a 79. My buddy was pissed because he knew I hadn't been playing much up until that vacation.

I enjoy sneaking out for a solo 36 hole day every few months. It's good for the soul...

Go chip for about an hour 3x a week. In a month or two you'll be leaving everything in tight after developing some feel.

Shot a 78 yesterday at Las Positas (over-watered muni track in Livermore, CA) with my kid brother yesterday. Finished with 7 straight pars and only 29 putts. Pretty solid for being my first time on a course with my new driver, 3-wood, & hybrid (wife gave me awesome birthday presents LOL)...

I was hooked on Carling the first time she did her little birdie dance in that skirt. She's a pretty solid player too LOL

Congrats! There's always an awesome sense of accomplishment when your score starts with a lower number than ever before LOL

I can put it out 310-320yds, but I average about 285ish. You don't always catch it flush lol.
