back to the subject - from a newspaper article (copied from golfgods.com blog ):
"Whatever their physical condition, golfers seem to be enjoying themselves. Among survey respondents, 76 percent consume an average of 6.8 alcoholic drinks per week. Nine percent admitted to drinking 10 or more beers during a round of golf."

I can't even drink yet.. :-p

But, if I could, I wouldn't. I've seen too many 10 handicaps double their handicap through drinking.

I do not drink when I play. No particular reason other than I take golf maybe a bit too seriously.

There is a good article in the new Golf Digest about how golf is hard on our bodies. Nothing about the game is a natural movement our bodies want to do. We have back, hip and knee problems over time and I am living evidence that hips can wear out. I've got a titanium right hip as of last Nov and I am playing again but no where near the level I once was. It's really frustrating and I want to shoot 80 or below but I just can't do it. I went to graphite shafts in my irons but I'm not sure that will ease the discomfort of arthritus in my hands and back. I'm back out there tho and thats a miracle I thought would never happen.

Golf is not a game, it's a way of life!
