As of late I've been hitting the ball incredibly high which has led to me losing distance with my irons. I am playing the ball in the middle of my stance and making sure that it doesn't get out front but I don't know what the deal is...anyone have any tips?

BTW....the ball is flying straight, just too high.

Hey, I can help. Assuming that you do not always hit the ball too high, I would check your swing plane. If your plane is too upright, otherwise known as steep, the ball has a tendency to go higher. With a steeper swing, you may also see your divot pointing to the left of your target line, and the ball going left, of starting left and cutting back. Hope this helps.

I used to the ball really high and too the right...a little grip change, and a better (flatter) swing plane fixed it...

I think its a combination of a few things. I was keeping my right elbow to the side in my back swing rather than letting it help guide the club inside the target line like a one plan swing should be (i've fixed this). That was creating a shorter/steeper arc and therefore causing some issues. I don't think I'm keeping my left arm straight like it should be through impact which is creating some problems, I also need to rotate my forearm (supinate) after impact for the proper follow through which I haven't been doing correctly. Currently I'm in San Diego staying at the Omni...unfortunately I can't get to the range until Monday, I'm eager to see if making some of these changes will help the issue and I can start really grooving the swing.
