Golf in the South of France

4 posts in this topic

Does anyone have any recommendations for golf in the South of France?  I'll be in the Nice area for my daughter's wedding in late September, and I'm thinking it might be nice to get a round in while I'm out there for about 12 days.

I'm a beginning golfer (second year) with limited French language skills.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Why spoil your time in France?

Good luck finding a course. Too many other things to do around Nice for me.

Here's the website for golf in Provence, which rivals the Riviera as the most popular part of southern France.

Nice is on the east edge of Provence, so go West, young man!

Nice is'nt my area (near montpellier) but from what I hear the golf of Barbaroux at Toulon is one of the finest and most challenging courses in the area, and maybe even in the country.

Would be my first pick if I were to go to the Alpes Maritimes.

Language is not a problem. You will get around easy over there.
