I picked up a set of irons at a garage sale today they appear they may be custom made the shafts. The shafts are true temper dyna lite. But there is no name on the club head they just say progressive offset. Any information is appreciated

If it was a well known or popular brand, the name would be all over it. It looks like any number of budget sets made in the 80's/early 90's that would be sold through various department stores. I can't help but think I've seen an almost identical set somewhere in my golf travels. I certainly could be wrong, but a brand name set OR even a 'custom' set would have some identification on it as to it's maker.

The shafts are sold seperatly for custom clubs from what ive found out so far definitely not a budget set sold in department those would have a name on them. They are progressive offsets my guess is they are a knockoff or a clone of a better set???

True Temper has been around a long time- names of specific products may evolve over the years. The DynaLite name could have been a stock shaft 20-30 years ago. But as you say, it IS possible it is a set made from components from a vendor and that those shafts were specified. Even if someone else could ID the clubs or know them, it still wont answer who made them. No identifying logos or info of any kind will make it a tough job tracking their origin. UNLESS someone has the same set and remembers where they got them... "At a garage sale in 1998", you're back to square one...

It is a generic copy of a Ping style perimeter weighted club.

As long as you didn't pay more than about $30 you'll be fine.

Other than that, there's nothing to learn about them worth knowing.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
