way to fix lateral movement of the upper body during the backswing?
As i go back i lean slightly away from the target, and it is causing some real issues with me.

All i want is a few simple drills that i could do on the range, i like the forehead against the wall one, but there aren't any walls in the middle of my golf course.

At address, point your right knee in. You should feel pressure on the inside of your right foot. Your knees are level to the ground, and your hips are slightly open (because of the right knee). Now take your swing, and do not move your knee. Keep it pointed in.

As for a drill... I recommend practicing your swing in slow motion using a short club (I use one that's 24 inches long). You should feel a lot of tension in your core muscles, hips, and right leg. You'll likely have a shortened back swing, probably much shorter than you have now, but your body will be loaded with power ready to explode into the ball on the downswing (which most people call the "coil").

20 minutes of slow motion practice a day on the new address position and swing and you should have it down in a week.

Try making your backswing by just turning your left shoulder around your spine, which takes your left arm and club back together in a rotary motion. See if you can do that while allowing some weight shift to the inside of your right foot, but no further.

Some tour players put stakes in the ground and align themselves in between. They leave themselves enough distance to turn and coil but if they drift they will hit the stakes. They immediately stop and start over.

You may want to give this a try.

I had/have this exact problem and only realized it recently. I have had much improvement after reading a section in Jackie Burke Jr.'s book. It isn't really a drill but rather a swing thought. He says to "turn the right shoulder first". For whatever reason thinking of my right shoulder turning back makes it easier for me to stay in place rather than thinking of taking the club back which encourages my lateral movement.

Let me know if you come up with any good drills because I am sure I will continue to need to work on this myself.

Put a lawn chair two inches from your right hip and try not to bump the rear legs off the ground during your backswing.

Go ahead and tilt to rear at address. Then you won't do it during your backswing.

Seriously though, how much of a tilt or lean is it? Do you tilt your spine to the rear at setup normally? With your back hand (right for righties) lower on the club than the leading hand you should have a natural tilt in your spine to the rear. It should be very noticeable with a driver. Look at your shoulders. Are they parallel with your hips, knees and feet? Maybe you just need a slight setup adjustment.

Try exaggerating the 'anti' movement by feeling very very left sided on your back swing.
