I am not sure of of which I am most proud. I recently got my second ace and my second trash can. I can only come up with trashie. But for the second time this year my tee ball came to rest at the bottom of a trash can. I probably should leave the ball and my clubs in the can but I can only hope that someone else has a similar experience to share.

How did you play out of the trash? It's actually in the rule book...

No trash cans this year, but the wife bladed a wedge, hit a porta pottie and the door creaked open very slowly. Thankfully it was unoccupied and both of us burst out laughing!

Yep, I have done that too ... only I did it off the tee box ... hit this low line drive with a really bad hook, I hit that porta-potty square, and the sound echoed all over the course ... my buddies and I just about died because we were laughing so hard.

I once hit a bunker shot that went into my playing partners shirt pocket.
What would you call that? (other than a bad lie) He wouldn't let me even try to hit it out.

How did you play out of the trash? It's actually in the rule book...

It's a movable obstruction.

Pull that thing out (hope nothing gross has been in there) and drop as near to the point it came to rest. Angel Cabrera and I both had a similar experience in a tournament. There was a tissue on my ball. That was enough to make me just want to leave the ball.

my best golfing experience was when me and a buddy were playing nine and on hole 9 he said he was going to finally outdrive me.. He then proceded to hit the tee box rock before (the gold ones) and it bounced behind him..

it may not have been a great shot but its something that rarely happens

Public courses need trash cans to receive all of the empty beer cans. The bins are by the club house and are emptied by the trash removal company. Beer drinking while playing in league is often a requirement and one needs a place to put the empties so that these cans are not litter on the course. A trashie is when your ball lands in one of these cans. The lids for these cans have since been lost probably due to windy conditions.

Bins are larger than cans. hitting into a trash bin would be a binny but the ball would smell as bad. Hitting into someone's pocket should have been videotaped and certainly would have been a winner on " World's funniest videos"

Saw my first trashie lask week. Was on the 18th in a club champs match, the other match in my group. First guy on in two. Second guy hits, pushes it right and short. Lands square on top of the rubbish bin lid (by the 10th tee) and bounces onto the green. They both hole out in two for a half......and proceed to go on to extra holes!
