Well, you know I already joined up. But I'm sure there will be some Sand Trappers sign up as well.

It pains me to say it, but I picked Duke to win it all. You just can't do much better than Williams and Redick when the game is on the line. Dave, I figured you would like that comment.

I joined Don's team. I know nothing about basketball, which often helps in these, but I never win anything anyway.

Speaking of SDSU, Oklahoma St. (my team of course) put the hurt on them in baseball the past two days. Even Tony Gwynn couldn't keep us down. As for their bball game with Indiana today, I thought hard about choosing them to win. They could easily get the job done because Indiana is very inconsistent. And SDSU has some solid scorers as well.

As for the brackets, I think I've done about six total. I joined this group and Don's group on Yahoo, as well as doing one on CNNSI, RosenblattReport, etc.

Surely one of those will win me something somewhere.

I'm still alive in my pool (along with Erik and Cody). I went against picking a lot of upsets, which cost me some cheap points in the early rounds. But three of my final four teams are still around, including my finals matchup. As long as Villanova and LSU keep moving on, I'm OK.

And don't get me started on Michigan State's Tin Man-like lack of heart. At least George Mason knocked off UNC too, making the MSU loss not stand out so much. Grrrr.

in the bag today:
Driver: TaylorMade R9 10.5° (Fujikura Motore 65 stiff)
3-wood: Tour Edge Exotics XCG (Aldila DVS Fairway 75 stiff)
hybrid: Sonartec Md 21° (UST Proforce V2 Hybrid 85 stiff)
4-PW: Titleist 755 (Titleist TriSpec Regular)Wedges: Titleist Vokey Design 252.08 bent to 50.5° (Oil...

Well, I missed more than I would have liked due to a trip to the in-laws house, but I still caught a good portion of it. I had Michigan St. going to the finals in a lot of my brackets, and I believe that was the case in your fantasy league Don.

They really let me down big time. They usually have a tough first round, but they always find a way to win and then get better after that. This time, they sleptwalked too much and paid for it. I was highly disappointed to say the least. I'm not looking too great in the league, but maybe my future picks will pay off for me. That's really when the going gets tough I guess. So far, this has been one of my worst years in the bracket.

    • Day 48. Got out at lunch to the range to hit some driver shots. Haven’t had much practice there. Focused on setup suggested by @iacas and found some very playable results. I did try to hit a couple of bunker shots after that with much less success 🙃
    • Got a rare birdie on #18 Par 5.  Drive was good and left me in range of the green.  I was @ 210 from the center and needed @ 180 to clear a hazard area.  Green had bunkers lest, right and on back. had been struggling and most shots were short so I took the 225 club figuring back of green hit well. i did hit it well, @ 229 per SS and dead on—kind at the pin.  Ended up @ 1 foot off the back in short rough and lucky for me it was a back pin placement.  Chipped about 15 feet leaving a 3 feet putt for par which I sunk.
    • Yea, so to clarify for me. I do not feel the clubface much in the swing. I feel the weight of the club. I can feel if I hit the club off the heel or toe. When I try to feel if the clubface is open or closed in the swing, I feel it more with my hands, and less of the clubhead. I would classify majority of my swings as not feeling like the clubface does much of all. It feels like I hold the clubface open. In the finish, it doesn't feel like my left hand faces the ground. It feels more like it faces the sky. I will try to be more aware of this, but it was just the sensation I got when I was making what felt like good swings. For the most part, I was hitting slight draws or slight pushes.  On this golf trip, I had to hit a low 8 iron around a tree to the green. I made an alignment adjustment, and actively try to roll my hands a bit more to get it to sling around the corner. I do have a habit of not adjusting how the clubface comes through impact, and I can still hit the ball straight-ish even moving the ball way back in my stance and trying to swing out more.  Yea, my feels are more hands and arms, less actually feeling the clubface.
