In 2008 I must have found ten clubs, a few towels, gloves, several headcovers etc. while walking 18. Sometimes I leave them, sometimes I'll pick up a club or headcover. I always either seek out the owner (if any holes intersect or I see other golfers); and I always turn in anything I find to the proshop.

Today on the 9th green right at sunset (5:45) I found two brand new Vokeys and a towel. There was a group of six infront of me - I knew they had to belong to someone in that group. I left the clubs on the fringe, but I told one of the guys in the 6-some that they were there...

I've never left a club on a course. I lost a putter head cover once - no one turned it in...

There must be hundreds of unclaimed club head covers at every course. I find putter club heads all the time. Towels, gloves, balls pretty regularly also.

At the course where I work, the lost and found has some pretty good stuff. The clubs are nothing special, maybe a random PING or Callaway iron, but most guys are pretty good about not losing clubs. There are, however, tons of towels, headcovers, and accessories. The umbrellas that they have are really nice. They have just about every headcover that you could think of.

I have found a Cleveland wedge once, but it belonged to the group in front of me. I immediately gave it to the guy. I also found a Callaway wedge on the ninth hole. A guy came driving around in a cart and asked me if I had seen it. I told him I left it on the fringe of the green.

I have only found gloves or towels a couple of times.

I once left my 5 iron in the woods on a hole. I brought an 8 and a 5 into the woods to punch out, leaned my 5 against the tree, and left after hitting my shot. I realized about two holes later. After the round, a marshall drove me to the spot and I found the club.

I've found a few wedges left at greens lately.

Fortunately I was able to locate the owners in each case.

I see a lot of headcovers, too. The new (shorter) style seem to come off much easier.

Every once in a long while I leave a wedge on the side of the green. Once in a tournament, I left a 5 iron leaning against a tree because I took two clubs to hit a punch out, but I realized it on the green.

The best thing I found was a wedding ring in the bathroom on the 7th hole. I told the proshop, but kept it because I did not trust the guys behind the desk. A few weeks later, I noticed an add in the local paper describing the ring. When I returned it, the wife gave me a check in the amount of what she was going to spend on a replacement - $700. I tried to turn it down, but she would not have it.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

Ive found some towels, divot tools, headcovers. The usual stuff everyone finds, nothing exotic. Last year i found a tour edge putter headcover on the course which i use for my scotty cameron now. I find the SC covers just scream "hey! come steal me!"

I was on the 12th hole..pulled up in the cart...bit of a wait at the tee box...I found a vintage coke can on the ball washer...noticed the top comes off...and lo and behold there was about a quarter ounce of weed in it plus a hand made wooden weed grinder...needless to say...by the 13th hole...the tee box wait didn't bother me anymore

Found a new Ping putter headcover on Saturday. Was in the process of turning it into the pro shop when the owner came in looking for it. He was pretty happy to have it back.

i've found probably half a dozen clubs laying around over the past year or so, two or three club covers, a ball-grabber (which i kept accidentally - i really did mean to give it to the pro shop, but i realized the next day i still had it in my bag), and then a bunch of small items like ball markers and those little divot-repair tool thingies.

Plently of golf balls. A few wedges that I left there or returned to the group in front of me. Found a 3-wood laying on the tee box one day and no one was around so I returned it to the clubhouse.

I've found the odd thing, a head cover, a hat. I always hand it in to the pro shop after the round.

I've left a head cover on the course that was handed in so I got that back. Left a wedge by the green a couple of times but realised both times and went back and got it, not surprisingly the 500 metre walk back down a par 5 the last time I did it did not impress me at all.
