Reverse C cures

Does anyone know any good cures or tips or anything to help with the reverse C position. Have been strugling w/ this for a few months. Thanks

When my hips slide on the downswing, instead of rotating, I tend to finish with my back arched. Then I have back pain for a few days...

So how do you fix it.

The problem can be a number of things but remember its all in your head, what I mean by that is most people dont understand how to start the downswing. I have read some stuff about the biomechanics of the golf swing and its very interesting what studies have shown. Basically what your doing is driving your lower body and forcing a sway and ofcourse a reverse c on the follow through.... what you need to do is focus more on stabilizing your lower body and separating it from your trunk(upperbody) try this drill , turn your lead foot in like you want to point towards your trail foot and take some practice swings, youll notice your wieght will stay on that lead foot on the follow through and you will eliminate your sway or cause injury by swaying. hit some 3/4 swing shots with your foot turned in and get used to the club rotating around your body instead of have a high finish...

I took on a new student and she's given me a couple of jems. Her latest: She likes to think of her body as right and left. The right side of her body controls the backswing. The right meets the left through impact, and the left takes over on the follow-through. Kinda like that balls on strings thing that rocks back and forth. That wasn't something we worked on for reverse C, but for weight transfer. I think I would work for your problem as well. So give that a shot?

is curing ur "reverse C" an issue in your golf swing? because if it doesnt, geoff ogilvy sure makes the reverse C work out very good, so it might not be something you have to fix unless it does good/bad to your swing IMO..

So how do you fix it.

I hit it thin when my hips slide. I focus on my left leg snapping straight at impact and keeping it straight in my finish. I have very fast hips so just concentrating on this one move really helps. I played my only round of the winter after I had a lesson on this and shot an 82 with a terrible short game. My ball flight was very penetrating, much more than usual, and I was hitting it pretty long.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year. 
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
