The recent thread about a lost PW go me thinking (Since I lost my PW 6 months ago and it never turned up) are there any marking systems for clubs to identify them as someones possibly engraving your phone number on the club head neck or a sticker for the shaft or something? Or a golf bag that beeps when you leave a club behind. I know this will only keep an honest person honest, but for the prce of clubs these days I want every advantage possible.

I know you can get name/address/phone labels specifically made to be placed on your shafts. A quick Google should get you a bunch of them.

FWIW, I'd never engrave a club unless you're darn sure that you'll never want to get rid of it.....

Ping offers an engraving service for their irons. I've seen personalized stickers advertized in the back of golf magazines. HB

Look in the back of any golf magazine....plenty of places to get custom shaft labels.

I play 95% of my golf at my homecoure. I had my irons custom engraved by PING for a minimal fee when I ordered them. My name is on each iron. Hopefully someone will leave my lost wedges/irons in the proshop for me to retrieve. This is a cool service of PING....one of many.

Multiple pockets (ball, drink, hidden valuables, small)

I remember seeing this model on Ebay . . . if you don't put your club back in a few minutes, the bag starts beeping.

Hope this helps,

I bought one of these (in the chrome color) after getting tired of listening to my clubs rattle around every time I road in a cart.

It has the benefit of immediately showing if a club is out of place.

  • 2 years later...

This is my first post, not sure if its in the right listing.

Anyway here goes.

After many trips on SW airlines with  never a problem. It happened.

Clubs Gone!!!!!

After about 60 days of finding proof of purchase.....SW paid me 3400.00

They handled this very directly.

Replaced my K15 and tried to move on.

Replacing Driver and putter is another story.

I also purchased the name and phone number offering reward for return tags that wrap around the shaft for my new clubs.

Played about 6-8 rounds in south alabama and florida.

Sand wedge is missing.....

Surely I left it somewhere!!!!!

My question is "Who finds a club and does Not return to owner?????"

Could you imagine letting this person keep score!

The other side of this story may simply be, My Club is Still Lost!

I left my 7i on a course, probably on hole 18 where I used the 7i to chip.  My clubs have the name and phone number sticker band near the grip and a fancy mongram disc in the end of the grip with the same info.  These make great gift suggestions.  I called the proshop and they had my club.  Apparently they don't check clubs for any kind of ownership information.

If I were smart I would create a gps transponder thingy to put in the shaft of each club so I could go online and find where my club is currently located.  I would call it "Dude, where is my club?"

Left a wedge greenside one day, but have all my shafts labled with my name and CELL phone number. Guy 2 groups back found my club and called me while still on the course. Got my labels from: http://www.pinhighinc.com/ Got 20 nice lables for only $10 bucks! Glad I did it. You can put your address on it, but putting your cell phone number on it makes much more sense.
