if it doesn't work, its still processing through myspace videos. Give it about 5 minutes. Sorry for the wait, and if anything isn't to your liking RocketSauce, then I'm sorry.

Good video. It looks like the fairways there will roll out pretty good. How far do you carry the ball? One other thing too, have you used a sky caddie or something to really check the yardages? The reason I ask is because on the two courses I play on, the yardage markers are very unreliable. I can stand beside the 150 yard markers and my skycaddie will show around a 10 yard or worse discrepancy.

you know, you have a decent swing, and like i said, im sure you can hit the ball a long way, but the video isnt definite proof of anything. the course yardage markers at my course are off by more than 10 yards in some places. add that to the fact that who knows where the tee boxes were when you teed off, and how accurate those yardage markers really are? and you still dont know how far you really hit those drives. could be anywhere from 250 to 300 yards? you need a GPS or a laser to measure accurately.

Mine too and you know man, that may be where the distances are coming from. I mean there are so many different factors that we can't really see that could make a difference. Who knows?

exactly. plus he was using TOP FLITE and PINACCLE ROCKS, err, i mean balls... but seriously, without gps or laser, who knows how far he is really hitting those balls. his swing speed doesnt look like anything spectacular

Would have loved to have seen this using a gps device but who cares. You have a nice swing with nice tempo and a shoulder turn I only wish I had. And under pressure of being filmed too. Looked pretty solid to me. I think you've handled yourself pretty well in your posts also. Keep on swingin' there youngster.

I've played that course (Arrowhead) with my oldest son, who was 10 at the time.

Nice course, good fairways, water driving range if I remember.

RHPM - good swing, a little to "John Daly" at the top crossing the line, but you are young and like to tee em' high and let em' fly.

I beleive 280 average using a laser with that swing and sound at impact. If you have ever been to a tour event and the guys that are "below average" at 280 look to knock the cover off the ball.

Anyway, I'm not calling bs on you, you have some good lag and snap in that swing. If you want to score better you'd probably shorten it a little.

Good luck in the future and good job on the video...it was fun to watch.

RHPM,
Is hole #1 a little dog leg right? Looks like you are aiming left, but a little over the top on the downswing on a couple (that had to be the OB and the one that was way right).

You cant get near accurate drive yardages on a dogleg if you are cutting the corner.

Anyway...good swing, plenty of power, thread closed for me. For us 40 year old guys and more.....Plenty of young kids can crush a ball (check out a junior tournament one day), it will amaze you. Like always it comes down to the other game of golf...putting, mental, touch around greens.

I like your video very much. Very entertaining. Not sure why someone of your age is in a cart, though!
Seriously - I'm not sure what you are trying to demonstrate here. The distances mean very little as people have mentioned the question of run.
On my course today, a perfectly hit drive was a good 70 metres short of whre it would be in dry conditions, so you might find that hitting the same shots at a different time of year and with different fairways might give you an average of 220 or 210.
Fun video, though!.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

RHPM,

Ok.. I can't believe I'm doing this, but just so people can verify the distances:

Open Google Earth Look up Arrowhead golf course in Naples, FL. Find Hole #1. It's right below the Pro shop building on the west side of the course. Click the ruler tool and set a start point in the middle of the tee box second from the top (north) (which I assume is the blues) Draw a line from there equal to the back of the left fairway bunker. You should be equal to the little tree on the right rough. Your line should measure ~295 yards. In the video the first ball landed behind that tree for about 275 yards Further in the video you can see the bunker and see that two balls landed past the bunker for 300+ yards. Ergo, he did it and his results are valid and I'm an idiot for doing this. Obviously, with no knowledge of wind, fairway hardness and slope it still doesn't mean a whole lot, but judging from his swing I am not surprised he rolls it past 300 yards on occasion. Congrats.

Swing looks really good. Love your balance.

The only thing I would point out is that your feet looked really closed. I'm guessing you were hitting a large draw at these fairways.

But even with that they looked pretty damn closed.

That might just be the camera angle, but I dunno.
