As i watched tiger on tv today at the PGA i noticed that he didnt throw a club, curse or have any other "temper tantrums". Its intersting because out of all the rounds iv watched him play on tv iv never seen him use this kind of behavior and in all the other rounds he played well and usually won. I wonder if he didnt win because of this? Kinda strange..... What do you guys think?

He was happy with his tee shots and approach shots, his putting stunk. It's eaisier to throw a hissy fit in the fairway rather than the green.

If his putting was 70% he would have won by 1 or 2.

He didn't hit that bad of golf shots, Three Putt is right. It was more his putting as the reason he didn't get the victory.

That's a fact. too bad putting is so damn boring to practice.

You must not be practicing in a fun way, then. I have lots of fun practicing putting - more so than the range, even.

A lot of good putters find it boring to practice putting, it's common actually. I know a few friends of mine who are good who hate practicing putting.

I think it's fun as well. A lot of that has to do with my dedication to the game and the fact my putter is my favorite club in my bag, so I enjoy using it...a lot. It's also fun if you have someone to practice with. You can go around the putting green and make a 18 hole stroke play even with it. Long putts, short putts, 10 footers, etc. even if you are betting nothing, or just betting for 5 bucks, a soda, beer, etc. whatever. Most great putters spend a lot of time practicing. Ingraining that perfect stroke from 3-10 feet is really important, and just training yourself to keep your head down as well is huge.

I enjoy putting but find a lot of the putting greens are not very good. It is hard to putt well on slow greens that havent been cut in a week.

To respond to the original post:

Yes, Tiger has a lot more self control in the fairways but that is because overall he hit the driver straight...his approach shots well, just got the bad bounces, and of course the putter let him down big time.

Actually i like practicing putting. But what i dislike is that our putting greens have almost no shade, and standing still in the pure sun for 1-2 hours isnt so much fun, especially when its really hot out there, so i rather have the option of putting very early or very late, when the greens arent the best anymore.

You mustn't have had the sound up very loud when he just finished the 17th. There was a very obvious F*** yelled into his shoulder as he was walking off the green. He covered his mouth to hide it from the cameras but you could definitely hear it.
