He four-putted, actually. But it was the second putt (which led to a possible three-putt) that cost him the spot.

I almost wonder if he knew exactly where he stood, because otherwise he might have taken a little more time with his little fourth putt (for double bogey).

Senden is relieved.

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

yeah, that sucked. i like snedeker, he seems like a cool guy. senden seems like less engaging of a personality.

Poor Snedeker. But on the bright side, he'll get some much-needed rest... and, unlike 3 months ago, he knows he has a job for next year, so there's that bright side.

Poor Poulter, too. Misses the TOUR Championship by 1 FedEx Cup Point. That's a $100,000 difference in income right there.

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

ahh I felt bad for him there. Nothing like 4 putting the last to eliminate yourself from next week. sucks.

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

Do you guys think he actually realized what missing that putt meant? I know most people don't want to know where they stand while they're playing.

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

He had to know he was on the bubble, I can't imagine, as quickly as the landscape was changing and how close everything was that he knew exactly where he stood, which is why the casual third putt shocked me.

After the Masters, then injury and working back for this and now the end he had, he's got a lot to come back from again, in my opinion. It will be interesting because he seems to take his failures pretty hard.

Since I knew Tiger was in Poulter missing was my main rooting interest all day. Woohoo!

By the time he took and everything, I would almost say he knew EXACTLY what he needed. But that's just a guess/hunch.

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

IMO he hit that 2nd putt WAY too fast, didn't even think about it. Then on the 3rd putt he just wanted to get the you know what out of there.

He knew and thats what cost him.

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

Silly ametuer mistake made by Snedeker. One thing that has always amazed me about how pros work on the golf course is that they never seem to disrespect any shot, no matter how easy or trival it may be. Snedeker didnt give that respect this time.

On the 18th hole, Snedeker was in 28th place in the projected points, and he asked NBC's Roger Maltbie what he needed in order to stay in the top 30 after having to lay up in front of the pond. "I thought I had to make par and he told me bogey would get in," Snedeker said. "Shouldn't have affected me. Shows you how weak mentally I am. Shows you what I need to work on. We'll work on it and we'll be back next year."
Guess I (and millions of others, I assume) was right in how I read Snedeker's reactions on the green.

it hurts me to watch that replay. Golf is a fickle mistress

Re: Speaking of Johnson .... Poor Snedeker :(

The last of the putts that didn't fall reminded me of Greg Owen at Bay Hill a few years ago.
