The "old" NXT is great. New model sounds interesting.

Gonna take a huge gain to pry me away from my current rock (I try to get the practice models).

I was wondering why a dozen of the (old ones) only cost me 19 bucks yesterday... I guess it could have been this particular pro-shop, though. But if titliest is going to be selling them for that price then the old nxt tour is my new ball, lol.

Lol I agree. I might have to scoop up a bunch of those clearance balls.

And they brought back the DT SOLO!!! I used to use them as a crappy practice ball because the only way to get rid of them is to lose them. Then they came out with the Carry and Roll, and i didn't fit any of them perfectly, so the Solo should be perfect, as a backup crappy ball of course. I'm not a fan of the NXT Tour's because they tear too easily and don't have enough feel to justify the price, i would rather buy the ProV1, or my favorite, the Tayor Mades. I also am not fan of the NXT (formerly Extremes) because they cost more than the DT Solo, and there is not much of a performance difference. I'm sure i will find a few lying around the course, so i will try them eventually...

I'm not sure what the difference is between the NXT Extremes and the 'new' NXT's?

Local GolfGalaxy has NXT extremes on sale for 20/dozen. I might get a few boxes once the tax return comes in.

You didn't like the SOLO balls? I liked them a lot. Granted it wasn't my favorite ball overall but it was my favorite ball for the price, easily. I would also say the NXT series is the best second tier golf ball too. Before shooting premium balls on a regular basis, I would shoot the NXT, and still will on occasion today.

For just playing around, I'm going to have to get some of the new SOLO balls. IMO, you can't beat that ball for that price.

I just picked up a dozen of the new NXT Tours today, I'm going to try them out next weekend. I played the old ones, and liked them, although I tend to hit the ball pretty high, so my normal choice of balls is Bridgestone E7+, but I'm going to play both next weekend and see which one I like more.

Golf Galaxy has the old NXT Tours (not extremes, which they have for 20) for 25/dozen, a few bucks off the regular price.

I got a G.G. giftcard for valentines day (what a wife!) so I might pick up a box.

    • Day 54. Was in a good place last week. Yesterday’s round killed my confidence.  Full swing practice trying to get back to where I was but struggled with being tired and tense. Back to basics tomorrow.
    • Welcome back! Evolvr.com? I don't use the full extreme end of it, and that's probably dipped to 75% or so nowadays. But I use the sole more than I don't, yeah. Also… it's good to learn this shot: Middle up. Not generally outside your feet in either direction. I generally have it slightly forward of center, yeah. Short version: tip your upper body in the direction of the slope. Look at the GC3. You can find them for really good prices sometimes.
    • 3 rainouts in a row….that’s SAD Sorry, I’m in MI or I would take you up on a round.
    • Day 3:  I tried to hit a bucket at the range but an 80 year old man (he told me his age, showed me his knee replacement scars, told me all about his chronic low back pain, etc) couldn’t pass up the opportunity to mansplain to me every little thing I’m doing wrong.  Dude, it’s my third frickin day.  I know I need to twist my hips more, I know I need to keep my head/chest down and not pop up, I know I need to hit through the ball and follow through further, yada yada yada.  I know.  That’s exactly what I’m trying to work on.  How about you tell me or show me how to do those things instead of telling me to watch Iron Byron videos?  Rough day.
    • Day 132: 5/7/24 Full Speed Spectrum Training session 8/24. 7th training program overall.    Another slow session but 4 mph faster than my last session, which was my slowest ever. Going to the doctor on Friday to check on pulled neck muscle.
