For most golfers a 15* 3W is really hard to hit well compared to a 460 cc driver from the tee. The 909 F3 is mentioned several times, and of course it you hit it well it goes out whole the way ......, but is has a very compact head. In earlier day a 5W would be about 20*-22*, but today it is normally about 18* and much easier to hit than a 3W (actually more a 4W). The current 4W 18* is equal in distance to about a hybrid 1 or 2 or an iron 1
I currently am using a Callaway FT-IZ 5W, but if possible you might like to look for Callaway X, which are very nice ones at low prices today.
I am also not fond of the hybrids, as for the stronger players, most of these things, hook sometimes.......
