I thought he was pretty good. You could tell he was a bit of a rookie though, he said a lot of generic things like "he really struck that well" when we already see that the ball is 5 feet from the flag. And during putts he was talking, stuff like "come on, come on... yes!" I'm just nit-picking though, I thought he was great! Though Id like to see him actually out there playing more.

he did commentating before when he was recovering from an injury or something. Hes not really a rookie. Hes great. Id love for him to do it more. We need to get rid of Jim Nance and Mike Tirico as well as Chris Berman. Leave golf to the golf crowd.

I'm probably alone here, but he didn't really seem to know what the hell he was talking about - maybe the 1/2 hour I heard was an anomoly.

I'd like to see Azinger take Roger Maltbie's place on NBC, It would be fun to listen to someone who dares to disagree with Miller. I'd put Rocco on CBS in place of Baker-Finch--they have had him on tv for years and I still can't figure out why... Another name I think might be good for TV is Colin Montgomerie, I'd rather listen to him than Curtis Strange.

Rocco is good for color commentary...similar to a McCord type...not the main guy calling the last putt for the US Open, but the guy who gives you the light perspective.

Montgomerie did a great job while commentating this weekend. I don't care for the guy in some ways but think he would make a great TV guy.
