Deadline for the next stop in Chicago is this Friday I think. It's lots of fun, if we could just get some decent weather now.

I play the Lexington tour.  Played the Golf Channel Am Tour in 2009.  Friend of mine invited me play the Golfweek Am Tour (eGolf Tour at the time) and I haven't played another Golf Channel event since then.  Our tour director is top notch and we outstanding participation on the regular and senior tour. Highly recommend Golfweek to anyone interested in playing competitive golf outside their club or home course.

I am not doing it this year but I have played the in the Down East NC tour over several different years.  The second year I finished 2nd overall in the "A" flight and came in 1st 2nd 3rd 2nd 1st in the last five tournaments of the year.  I would play again this year but I am in the middle of a massive swing overhaul with the help of the Golf Evolution guys.  That, and my wife as caught the bug so I am going to spend more time playing golf with her.

All that said, I have found this tour to be a great experience.

Bummer, they have nothing on the West Coast.

How do these work? Do you have to play in every event?

edit: nevermind. Just read through the GolfChannel website. This sounds awesome, I'll look into joining next year. I've seen the commercials a few times, should have looked into it a lot sooner. Thanks!

Been on this tour from it's merger from EGOLF. I would recommend playing this tour. I play in the Myrtle Beach Tour at this time. Anything you need to know is posted on the website.

I also play on the Golfweek amateur tour.  I've played on the memphis/N. Miss. tour for the last 2 years and have nothing but great things to say about it.  I just got back from our tour championship in Hilton Head Island, SC.  If anyone has any questions about this tour i'd be happy to help you out.  Just send me a PM and i'll find your answer for you.

I'm sure HH was awesome. I played the Chicago tour this summer. The people and courses were great, but it was a little too expensive for me and the rounds were five and a half hours, so I don't think I'll be doing it next year.

Just finished the 1st season with the new "Ozarks" Golfweek Amateur Tour.  Had about 52 players signed up to play and had 11 tournaments to play in and around the Ozarks region of Missouri.  Great tour, loads of fun and met many great guys to play with both in tournaments and other events in the area. Looking forward to next year with more tournaments already being scheduled.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
