Mark Frost on "The Match"

Thanks for posting - a very interesting chat by Frost.    I still think "The Match" is my favorite golf book - I love the way Frost interweaves the hole-by-hole narrative along with the history of some of the game's most interesting characters.

But I must admit that I still keep having a difficult time believing that Frost is the same Mark Frost that teamed up with David Lynch to do "Twin Peaks".     It's hard to believe that someone so fascinated  with the past of one of the world's most historic and conservative games is the same one who comes up with a twisted psychological murder thriller infused with supernatural symbolism and begins with "She's dead, wrapped in plastic".      Frost is an amazing writing talent.....

He also wrote a great book about the 1975 World Series, Game Six . I was hoping he'd write more golf books. He was on his way to basically wiring a history of golf, with the Vardon era, the Hagan and Jones era, and then the Nelson and Hogan era.

Great Post.  Everything Frost involved with has been a favorite of mine.  Hill St Blues was the original great Cop show.  Loved the Cypress Point angle a few in audience tried.  That sounds like me!

I really enjoyed "The Last Putt", a book about Tiger's stanford team trying to win the national championship.  The Match was good, but The Last Putt is my favorite book about golf, especially because of the cast of charecters (Stewart Cink at Ga. Tech, Harrison Frazar at Texas, etc..).  Great book.
