I am currently looking to buy new clubs. I found a guy will to sell me Titleist AP2 irons 3-PW with Project X 5.5 stiff shafts for $400. Hes used them for 10 months.

I'm going to take them out for a round before I consider buying them but wanted to get some outside feedback.

I play 710's and love them.  These are my first "players" clubs and it was a smooth transition from my Callaway X22s.  The pitching wedge is 45 degrees so I did end up buying the 50 degree gap wedge straight from Titleist.  It's a 712 and if anything, I like it a bit better than the 710s.  Not enough to buy the whole set mind you :)  They're a great choice and for 400 dollars I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere for such great clubs.

My son plays the 710 AP2's, and he loves them. They are great clubs. In good shape (?) for $400, sounds like a good deal.

I play these irons and they are outstanding! I picked up the AP2s to replace my old CB690's since I wasn't playing as much as I used to and wanted something a little more forgiving but still have the blade feel. The AP2 710s do just that. 400 is a steal for them and I bet you will love them.

I play the 710 AP2's and really loved how they felt when I compared them to the R9 TP and Nike split-cavity irons. I would say they feel a bit heavier towards the sole than most irons but that's what I love about them. They feel so smooth when you hit them clean and real workable. For $400, that's a great deal. I would even consider it at $500

I play the original AP2's in PX 5.5's and they are great. Nice flat high flight. A decent amount of forgiveness for a smallish head.
