So im down in Miami and was thinking of trying Miami beach golf club. The rate this time of year is $100. I have played Biltmore and Crandon. Crandon is tough and great layout but this time of year greens were pretty beat up. Biltmore is okay. Has anyone played Miami Beach Golf Club, is worth the $100 or should I look elswhere? Ive heard so many negative reviews of the Blue Monster, so not really interested in dropping $$ to play there.

yeah the Beach is OK.  the condition is excellent.  Not as cool as Crandon but the condition of MB is way better.

Re Doral, the only thing about the blue is to play the course you see on TV.  But if you are on the beach its not really worth the drive.  I prefer the Silver (now called the McLean course).

FYI if you are planning 5 or 6 rounds in SE FL you may want to look at buying a Premier Card.  U play all these courses for $35 with the card.  I think it drop to $150 after July 1

never been a big Biltmore fan.  I think its boring but the condition is very good.

You know what course I like, is Miami Springs. It's got a lot of history and it's very beautiful. Greens are pretty busted for such a nice old course, though. But the price is right! About 30-40 bucks.

Thanks guys! Ive played Miami Springs and ti be honest, its not very good. A Muni at best. Greens were horrible. It was a dump... For an extra $20, I ended up playing the Club at Emerald Hills and that place is amazing! And tough!
