Best Golf Course in Australia?

Hi all,

 

I am new to this forum, and actually new to Australia (currently living in Brisbane).

 

Just wondering which course is recognized as the best / most prestigious in the country, or could any of you guys recommend any which are definitely worth a visit?

I don't know about best, but this course has real water hazards. Bull sharks in the lake.

Royal Melbourne is the best/most prestigious in Australia. And as an interstate/overseas visitor you can normally get on to play it with a little notice.

 

Barnbougal Dunes is commonly rated in the top 10 in Australia and is a public access course, if you're ever heading to Tasmania you should definitely check it out.
