Are my shafts too stiff?

Hello golfers! I am a 8.8 handicap and just went from Titleist AP2 regular flex shafts to Taylormade Rocketbladez Tour irons with stiff shafts. I was fitted at the taylormade fitting center and hit them well there. For the past month my scores have been terrible because i cant hit these irons! All my shots are straight pushes right. Are the shafts too stiff?

You might do an eye check for how you line up the RBZ irons. Find some square floor tiles at home and set up the iron so that it looks square. Then check against the floor tiles.

The irons I play now have less offset than my previous irons. I started out pulling the new irons - I found I was lining up about 2* closed. I had to retrain my eye for what the new square looked like.

Shafts could be too stiff but my first thoughts are that the new Taylor irons are longer than most standard clubs. This could be your issue. Measure them up against your old clubs, if you still have them to se if this is the problem

The Tour version are not longer then the modern standard. They are shorter then the current Callaway XHot forged. In either even, the quarter inch difference of the Tour Rocketbladez wouldn't change the effective lie angle enough to cause a push or a pull. The advice of WUTiger gave seems like a good starting point.
