Will you play in a USGA tournament this year?

Just as the title states? Will you play a USGA sanctioned event in your state this year? I have looked on the Arkansas State Golf Association website and there are 3-4 stroke play events I migjt give a shot this year. Unfortunately they are all a 2-3 hour drive and hotel stay for the two day events. My country club has a few tournaments (match play, member/member, club championship) so we will see how it goes. Either way, I want to test my nerves and play some competitive golf against the best in my state.

Do you mean one of the 14 USGA championships, or something else?

My handicap is not low enough to qualify for the U.S. Open or US amateur, so not those. When I was in Florida I played in FSGA events that had season long points and stuff. Got to play cool courses like Avila and Orange County National

So just to clarify, you're just asking about any actual tournaments, not necessarily those put on by the USGA..... I played in my local county senior championship this past week. Will be playing in my buddy's member guest next week, and will likely play in a handful of the FSGA one day tournaments that you mentioned. They're playing both OCN courses in May.... :-)

I'm playing in two state tournaments and 3 tournaments at my club. I can't afford our club championship, not mention the 2 year wait list. It's mind boggling considering I never have a problem getting a tee time. No clue how we have so many members that only golf during that member guest

I will be playing in my schools tournaments for the next 2 months and then this summer if I can get down to the low 80's or high 70's then I might play in a few tournaments just for fun and practice.
