That seems to be consensus of people who roll a putter from one of the smaller guys. The quality control with a custom putter from Slighter, Byron, and C&L; is outstanding. The other nice thing is that you get exactly what you want: weight, finish, stamps, aligment aids, etc.

I can't wait for my new Slighter Tacoma to get here, I've not even considered another Cameron since I realized what's on the other side. $330.00 is a steal for a Byron, I'd jump all over it if I were you.

told me that he received a "group buy" deal on it....custom leather stitched putter grip felt so nice....the grip alone was $50....the craftmanship of the putter was superb...and that "sound" slit adds just the perfect tone to very putt....truely impressed by these custom putters....

you can never have to many quality putters, they are like family heirloomsand really never loose their value. Like say a $400 driver 2 years ago that's now worth $50

I have yet to hear a negative comment about a Byron Morgan putter. I have an old John Byron model (same guy, different company) that I would probably game if it was a little heavier. I suspect I'll end up picking up one of the new models in the next few months.

Just getting this thread up near the top...so someone will discuss Byron Morgans with me. If I ever figure how to post a pic...I would like to show off my new DH89!

I just actually sold my DH-89 on ebay today. I liked the feel of it, but I felt the topline was a little too thick to my liking. Could have also been the finish on it (double torch). I just kept going back to my SC Mil-Spec. Needs a resto by the Custom Shop though.

It's funny that this thread is revived on a day that I mentioned Byron Morgan putters in another post. I don't own one but I've tried them out and they are the real deal. Great putters and they're great guys to work with from what I hear.

This is an old thread so hoping to bump it and see if anyone has bought any byron morgan putters recently. I really want a custom putter and these look pretty nice so looking for recent reviews.

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
