Taylor Made Burner Superfast 2.0 Driver

Hello everyone,

First time thread starter on these forums, absolutely love them and my game has improved so much in only the couple weeks I've been here so far.

A little background information on myself, I'm 28 years old and used to play golf as a fun hobby from about 11-21 then stopped for no particular reason. I was never really serious about it, just a fun time to get out with friends. I've recently (within the past couple months) picked it up again, and am more passionate about improving than I ever have been. I think a large portion of this is because I now have more of a disposable income than I did before and I can look forward to playing once or twice a week.

I've got an intermediate set of Ben Hogan Colonial irons 3-PW and a 52* 'A' wedge (what does 'A' stand for anyway?) and some old school Dunlop driver. I've been looking at some new style drivers to get my hands on and have had tons of luck on craigslist for previous sports equipment. So there I went, I found a very lightly used TM Burner Superfast 2.0 Driver - 10.5* loft (my Dunlop is a 10*) and stiff shaft for $40CAD. Even though it's a slightly bit of an older model, I thought  this was a great price for something I feel will help me hit the ball more cleanly and forgiving. I can hit a ball 230-240 yards straight 8/10 times so I think my swing is decent, but it could obviously ALWAYS use some improvements. I'm 5'9" and 165lbs. I have no idea how fast my swing is because I have not been able to get out to a tracking system, but I'd love to do that soon.

I'm not quite sure where I'm going with this, but I guess I'm wondering if this type of driver is worth it at that price, for being a few years old. I've done a bunch of research on it and it seems like 95% of the people who have it have nothing but good things to say about it. I'm not sold on buying a driver for $300+ (just yet) as I'm still trying to increase my ball striking consistency. Unfortunately, I know that hitting clubs is the easiest method to determine if it's the club for you. I can't do that this time around, but I will be sure to when I upgrade my irons come Christmas time.

Anyone have any information on this driver, or personal experience? Anyone still use it or do you feel it's more outdated/obsolete? I would love any type of input!

Its the driver thats in my bag. Most people here would say get fitted for a driver so you definately have one that fits your game and they arent wrong but if ur just looking for a driver to use for a while you cant go wrong with it.
