I know this has been asked probably numerous times.  I am wanting a new (to me at least) set of irons.  I am close to ordering a set on gigagolf utilizing their efit system. Today I found a set of AP1s (original ones) with new grips and in good condition for $250. I am high handicap but am improving every round.  What does everyone think?

AP1 are a really good iron. That is a pretty good price if they are in good shape.

You have to start somewhere.  Where you wind up...no one can say.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

Yup, gotta agree.. Good price and perfect clubs for where your game seems to be at right now.  Should last you a few years.

Even as you improve I've seen a lot of low handicappers still using the AP1 4-7 and AP2 8-w.
