Had the long overdue opportunity to get together with @Vinsk and @billchao today for a round of golf and a couple of beers at my club.  We even managed to gang up on 2 of my other buddies and take a couple of dollars from them.  A good time was had by all!

Pace of play?  I’m glad you asked.  Although we all hit the ball a LOT of times, 5 of us cruised around in 3:35, even though we got caught behind a slow foursome and waited on every shot for 3 holes before we got past them at the turn.  :-)

What was the shank count, @Vinsk? 🙂

And… is that the best photo you've got of the three of you? Indoors?

Two rounds...one shank. So that’s a good thing. We were a fivesome and played well under 4 hours ...didn’t take time to take pics....we should’ve.

Sadly, that’s the only pic.  What were we thinking?!

Yep.   Got to see a hozel rocket on one of his very first swings.  😱   Fortunately, things settled down quickly after that!

At one point we did suggest we should have live streamed our match, when @Vinsk blew a lag putt 15' past the hole and then holed the comebacker for par 🤣

There was beer involved. Lucky we thought to get the one picture in.

After numerous spectacular shots by@billchao from treacherous lies and positions we’ve deemed him the ‘ hold my beer...watch this’ guy.

We shan’t discuss how he came to find himself in those treacherous positions though...

Yea I'm pretty good at hitting shots out of trouble. I'd like to tell you there's a cool Seve Ballesteros type of story to explain it, but the reality is I just have a lot of experience hitting into stupid spots on the course.

I didn't hit any drives today onto adjacent fairways. That's a successful day in my book.

    • Day 22 (12 Feb 25) - Short session with 7i into the net in the backyard.  Was not the best session - struggled in getting the face squared up.  Took a few steps back and did a reset.  Better contact second time around.
    • Nope, and a bit too expensive for what I usually spend on clothing. Not sure if these pants are the kind where they are like business casual but also can be worn while doing athletic stuff (like working out).  I do own a pair of pants from VRST, and like them a lot. They got a business casual look, but very stretchy. I forgot my gym shorts to volleyball on Monday. I had these pants on and had no issues. You can literally go from work to the gym. .
    • 100%.  Currently, it takes me several shots of various progressions to make my brain even trust that it will work.  It is so opposite from the feelings I have had for years.  And forget about adding any speed at the moment. That is just a recipe to fall back on the old habit
    • I haven't either. But there doesn't seem to be any reason why at least the pants would create any issues.
