i studied golf as a subject in years 10-11 im in year 12 now. i did it at uni and got tought by the best coaches in australia on every part of the game getting 2-3 coaches each and doing 3 hours of theroy in the morning all golf related,

I know how you feel mate, I study golf at A - level and will be going on to get a degree in golf performance in the next 4 years at university (this involves ALL aspects of golf performance, you name it I will study for it and as a result I am preparing for it now)

But hey tiger_who, what do we know, we only study the game of golf day in and day out

jayb - "i study golf at A level" - so dont even have a school qualification then?

what your going to do really is of no importance - its what you have done that counts

see original post - you cannot open up sentences with i am studying or similar!

No.1 Learn to use quotes (it's quite simple really, you don't even need A levels to do it) instead of using quotation marks all the time.

No.2 I don't understand why it annoys you that I happen to be studying the subject matter we are talking about, have you got no education? are you jealous? why are you such an angry person? No.3 I will open up a sentance however I like thanks and will not stop because some one of a golf forum thinks he knows it all

What is your problem? Your ranting about how people who have a 20-handicap are basically inferior to the game that is so ridiculous. The person who has helped me the most in golf is a 23 handicap, and that person has a great knowledge of the game. Your being a complete jerk, you think you know everything but you don't. Just because you can hit the ball far doesn't mean your a amazing player. You will not even tell us your handicap so I guess you not even that great. I don't get why your being such a jerk, this is a site where people can talk to other people who share the love of the game, not for you to go off on people, for giving their opinions, and disrespected the game and knowledge of the game just because of their handicap.

First off congrats at driving a 640 yard hole. I think Happy Gilmore would have trouble with that one. Must have been a pretty hefty tail wind you had there - I would guess around 100 MPH + . I have seen LDC where the winning drive was about 390 - 410ish, so finding that extra 240 yds. is pretty amazing.

Second off, you dont enjoy argueing on the internet. Seems to me thats what your doing here. Just starting one big argument. I dont mind if someone thats not as good as you is giving other people on forums advice. If you dont like what they have to say, just move on. There isnt a law out there that states people who have trouble with the game cant give others constructive advice to what is troubling them. We are all golfers here - Ill take any advice I can get to better my game. -

Dude take the hawk off your sig... that's just mean I seriously hope that he gets a big fine or community service. What he did was completely class-less. Half the reason I love walking courses is being outdoors and watching the wildlife around here, and I couldn't see intentionally trying to kill a part of the game I like the most

The 11th hole at the Duke's course (Winthank) is a flat, bent-left fairway... that even if you cut straight to the hole doesn't save you more than 40-50 yards. You drove 600 yards? So you swing your driver around 300mph? That's a mighty big claim right there.

Here's a revolutionary concept . Ignore the crap you don't like. People are here to learn. People are here to reflect. People are here to help each other. Some people are actually doing healthy things like using this as an emotional waste basket. Golf frustrations seem like a mental disorder to non-golfers. Wives are mostly hostile about it (mine was ). Go ahead and vent, guys. I'll empathize with most of it.

Best, Mike Elzey

When I was working on my Masters degree, from 94-97, I could tell someone that "I am studying Exercise Physiology." You can take that for what you want, but what it doesn't tell you is that I had studied it for 3 years in undergrad and also worked in the industry as an Exercise Physiologist for several years. I would have considered myself to be pretty knowledgeable at the time, but based on this logic since I can't bench 300 pounds or run a 4 minute mile then I can't post any fitness advice on line.

With that background, I wouldnt post anything on-line. You obviously wouldnt know what you were talking about.

Troll it is!

As far as how to start a sentence, I thought the only rule that I have ever heard was to use a capital letter.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
