52° wedge recommendation needed

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a 52° wedge to fill in the gap between my 48° PW and 56° SW.
These are the ones that are on my list:
- Titleist 200 Series (they don't have a 52° in SM version)
- Cleveland CG12
- Cleveland DSG
- Callaway X-Tour
They don't have them all in stock at my local Pro Shop, so I can't really try before I buy (except for the Titleist and the CG12).
Which one would you think would be the best one for a high handicapper like me?

I recommend Nike. I don't think as many people play them as Titleist or Cleveland but I just love the feel of the SV Tour wedges. I bought a SV Tour Gap 52 last year and it become my favorite club. I chipped in 2X with it and can stick it closer then any other wedge. It puts good spin on the ball, not too much and not too little. Also an added bonus is that they are about 10-20 bucks cheaper then Cleveland CG12 and Titleist Vokey.

I just bought Tommy Armour Silver Scot 52deg.

Feels allright (and looks good) and has a really good pricetag .

Well, I went to the Pro Shop today and bought the Cleveland CG12 (chrome finish). I tried it at the chipping green and it felt really good. If I still like it after a couple of weeks I'll probably get a 60° too later this year.

Which ones do you have now? Try and find the one you have right now to keep the feel the same. If it is worn out or old, get new ones, but all the same type and model to keep it consistent.

If I were in your position I'd try to match whatever was in my bag first. I love Vokey wedges. I may be adding a 50-degree gap soon as I've got a 45- and 54-degree gap to fill. Damn modern PW lofts!

Vokeys are the best yes...The Vokey 200 series i think were the best set of wedges every made and that includes spin mill and oil can

Uhm, so does anyone else see the contradiction here? I think r7 has gotten to the point where he's almost parodying himself.

I'd vote for the Vokeys. Either the 200 series (several lofts available, including 52) or you could bend a spin milled two degrees if you'd like. The prior option is preferred. I reviewed the CG12 and didn't find them to be that incredible. I'll have a review of the Mizuno wedges up soon (a month or so) too, but can't really give an opinion of those yet.

I'd say Adams Tom Watson wedge set! I don't know any other wedges!! But, I picked vokey over cg12 and cg14. They just seem to feel a tiny little bit softer. Seriously though, Tom Watson set isn't half bad if you have a limited budget

The rac TP Black wedge with Y-cutter grooves I have is really nice. Lots of spin and workable. I haven't tried it in 52 degrees but the 60 is plenty nice.
