I wouldnt bother with Ebay.

I tend to sacrifice durability for looks. I have a few pair of the TaylorMade Burner gloves. Love the look, durability isnt the best in the world, but I have never really had a problem with glove wear.

Titleist makes some good gloves, and my dad has used the same FootJoy gloves for about a 5 months now ( Mostly to the Range ).

Maxfli makes a great glove

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

I just bought a couple of Cleveland gloves from ebay and saved about $5 per glove. As always, just trust the feedback and you should be ok. Cleveland gloves I bought have good feel and seem to be very durable. Not as good as Footjoy's best glove however. It was the first time I have bought gloves off of ebay in bulk and I will probably continue to do it from now on.

Under Armour golf glove????? That is definitely a must try. I haven't even seen one but it has to at least look pretty cool. Probably pretty expensive though too huh?

I buy a pair of Foot Joy rain gloves every spring and use the left hand glove for everyday use. It may not give you the feel you are looking for, I don't mind the feel, but it will last the whole season as the leather is much more resilient.

I got two nike gloves last year and they are horrible. I had holes in them within a week.

I dont think going gloveless is an option.

Footjoy makes the best, and you get that cool little button to mark your putts with.

the button sucks as a ball marker cause it is hard to get out and is too "bulgy"

maxfli and other companies have the same thing, if thats what your into. and they only cost $10 tops, like others have said

They are a bit bulky but I always lose coins or other markers. I like that it is right on your glove. Someone should come out with a flat button marker.

Because it's still Winter here, i can't attest to the wear factor, but i picked up an ADIDAS Lethal XT (black), & it is the most comfortable glove i have ever tried on. Again, i haven't golfed with it yet. I like the Ping, FJ are good, but Nike wear out super fast for me.

I wish I could get by without a glove. Sweaty hands in humid weather are a pain.

the best golf gloves (IMO) are the soft leather/tour ones.

although not the most durable, they offer the best feel.

I bought an under armour heatgear glove for 13$ at Golf Galaxy. My hope was that it would breathe well and be durable. I haven't thought about the glove once in one round and two sessions at the range, so it must be doing ok.

    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
    • Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
    • Day 2: 2025.12.27 Eighteen holes at Kauri Cliffs. Focusing on trying to keep flex in right leg during backswing.
