Walter Hagen spoke very complimentary about  Ben Hogan's golf & swing.  Salient was the observation: Hogan employed a 'nonsegmented' swing where as everyone else, Haig included, used a 'segmented' swing.  Will someone please explain the difference between Segmented & Nonsegmented as it pertains to the golf swing?  TIA,  -a-

I think its mostly someone trying to come up with an adjective and doing a bad job at it. Just my take. I've never heard of these terms before to describe a swing.

I’m sure he’s suggesting Hogan swung the club in one sweeping motion with no pauses. Hagen was suggesting Hogan had a continuous tempo. Just talk.

He was something of a night crawler; he may have been thinking about worms.
