  1. 1. Have You Ever Walked Off The Course Mid-Round Because You Weren't Playing Well?

    • No, I've only ever left the course due to weather or running late for an appointment or something like that. Never due to "poor play".

  2. 2. Is It Wise To Walk Off The Course If You Are Playing Badly?

    • No - You should aways stick it out. You never know when you may "Find Something".

    • Yes - But only if you are playing REALLY badly.

    • Yes - You should always walk away. Why torture yourself? Plus, you are just ruining your swing by staying out there.

I gave up the umbrella years ago.  Now, when the rain starts (if projected to continue) I go with the rain pants, rain jacket, pullover cap (otherwise my ski cap), rain gloves and a good attitude.  Cannot stand wrestling with umbrellas in the wind and rain.

With the exception of one year of my life when I studied and lived in the Netherlands, have generally lived in warm to hot climates.  For me layering up and playing golf, or any other sport for that matter, is a funny concept.  I struggle to play well when my body feels restricted with multiple layers.  Honestly, I would rather have an umbrella and wear a really warm jacket and take it off to hit my shots

    • Day 206 - 2025-04-24 Got some good partial wedge work in today. Same stuff as the full swing, but I can see why I was trying to do something a bit different.
    • Day 4:Full Speed Spectrum Training Session 8/24 Dropped 2 mph from last session. This is my 6thFull Speed Spectrum program and I have often struggled swinging so many heavier weights and maintaining speed with the195 gram measuring weight.
    • No. Uhhhh… no. Take the L.
    • Just some notes Putting - more straight back and close the face through impact. I got a bit too inside, lots of block putts right or pushing the club out and heeling putts. Especially on longer putts. Pitching - pretty decent. Just working on distance control and different backswing lengths. Redeveloping the touch.  Also trying to no flip the club inside since that is my full swing pattern. Though, I seem to be able to bracket the center of the clubface, heel and toe strikes.
    • jeezus, whatever hole you think I’ve dug, you appear to be right in there with me. Take it easy man, I’m not mad, I’m not throwing shade, I’m just enjoying Rory’s performance, and speculating on what the future may hold.  I agree with you, he’s one of the best of all time, certainly in the modern era.
