After 20 years in Medford, Oregon, my significant other and I uprooted and moved.  Now residing in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and living on the 18th fairway of the Diamante Country Club.  Great course that I was able to play last May as a guest in the Member-Guest Classic with my friend.  Came back in September, found a home, and made it happen.  Been a member of Diamante and the Arkansas Golf Association for the last month.  Ready to get. back into the swing of playing golf after the ordeal of moving from one home to another.

Been retired awhile now.  No, we just decided that we'd had enough of Medford OR and looking for a change.

As a fellow Oregonian golfer I appreciate your desire to leave. Here's to more sunny days and some roll on your driver.

    • Woodley Lakes?  I was wondering why it's rated where it is, since it doesn't seem more difficult (if anything, easier) than Encino/Balboa.   It makes so much more sense now. Sounds like I should volunteer for my state association too.  I used to get some cool gear like that (well, not the cart) when I volunteered for check-in and will call at the L.A. Open, back when I lived there.
    • Day 7 (13 Aug 25) - 7:30 tee time for nine holes as a guest of an old friend…course fairways were  severely dew laden…made for some clubbing up and rethinking iron shots into the greens…played back a set of tees and it was fun rethinking club choices.

    • I think 95% is more accurate. The leader of our course rating program shot from the hip and said 90%, but I recently read elsewhere that it is more like 95%. So we spend 4 hours or more on a course with a team of 6 to 8 people to figure out the last few rating strokes as to whether they exist or not due to difficulty. I credit this site/forum for getting my interest up in volunteering for my state association. I am marshalling for the US Mid Am qualifier later this morning 15 min from my home. We get shirts, hats, 1/4 zips, a cart with our name on it, a radio, lunch and unlimited snacks all while watching some great golfers. 🙂
