How to sort out the drugs problem and break the dealers. Govt. needs to buy up all the harmful drugs eg cocaine, heroine, anphetamine from the 'wholesalers' and then just dump it on the streets for nothing and keep doing it for a year or so..(a bit like the plot in Live and Let Die).

This will put the dealers out of business and eradicate most/all crime needed to pay for the habit in the first place, as it will be free. After the dealers are broken, govt should stop buying the stuff.

In my country its an illegal substance and anyone using an illegal substance while playing on tour should be banned for life. What a horrible role model.

I don't care for druggies or drunks on the golf course. If you take it or drink it, it will change your behavior, and usually negatively. Have someone tape you the next time you decide to get drunk or stoned; if that won't stop you, nothing will; you're hooked.

If you don't like the law, work to have it changed; until then, obey the law or pay the penalties.

If you must, do it at home, in private.

The only performance enhancer I would like to have is some prescription pain killers for my constantly painful left shoulder - darvocets?

I would have to agree with the OP that it's not a performance enhancer and really shouldn't be on the list.

I was about to go into detail about how some of the drugs on the list are regularly used to regulate blood pressure or treat asthma attacks, and that banning them could cause some players to retire early or risk their health by not using the substance. I searched and found a site that says these medications will be allowed as long as the player has a prescription, and that the drug levels in the urine are within normal use parameters.

Would you all consider any forms of ADD/ADHD medication "performance enhancing"? These drugs have a considerably strong stimulant effect on non-ADHD consumers and enhance focus abilities and stamina. The effects of a 20mg time release adderall are evident as much as 8 hours after being induced into the blood stream. I haven't seen any regulations on perscription medications like this...

Any thoughts?

    • Day 293 6-24 Low point control work. Noticed most of my fat shots are coming when the shaft is steeper. Ill have a bunch of good swings and then have a real chunky, deep divot.
    • Day 4 (24 Jun 26) - Played the mid-week shootout - iffy day on putts as I had 35 and of late been in the upper 20's.   Greens recently verti-cut and they are a bit bump and long haired - no excuses as I need to learn to trust making the proper adjustments.   Overall a decent day with some solid long game shots.

    • Thank you.  I'll cross it off the list since it isn't going to achieve what I want.
    • While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
