Hi mates. I have a problem here. I recently bought the Titleist 585.H 17° and what an awesome club. But the facts are this...

I'm hitting longer the hybrid than the 3 wood. So I was wondering:

1.-Try the 906F4. I don't know but I really feel the difference between the Callaway and Titleist.

2.- Do I really need a 3 wood?

What would you say?

Regards.

I had the same problem when i FIRST bought my 585. But after a while, I started to hit my 3 wood better and it started to go longer?
Maybe the same will happen to you?
Maybe try a graphite shaft in your 3 wood, or a 15* loft on it.

Yes mate, that's I was thinking, I would try the Titleist but the 15° and a graphite shaft maybe that would change things.

with a 13 handicap (not that i am any better) you should be playing a 15 deegree 3 wod with a graphite shaft alos a forgiving head would help to. the 3 wood that is currently on your signature has the specs that most of the callaways tour pros are probably playing. good luck on your search for the perfect club.

I would say you don't need the 3 wood. A lot of players can't hit a 3 wood any straighter than their driver anyway, so it's redundant in many bags. Stick to the hybrid on tighter fairways and ditch the 3 wood.

I recently ditched my 3 wood (okay, I broke the head off it). To replace it I got a 15* Ping G10 hybrid and it is much straighter and goes virtually the same distance.

No problem, althought you probably don't need a titleist fairway, as the X tour is a great club, just you need a graphite shaft in it.

I play a wilson staff 3 wood, but I didn't have a fairway wood for a while and just used my hybrid, but eventually decided that I needed the extra length and height that the 3 wood offered me! Good luck choosing, tell us what your final decision is mate!

I know I could use the X Tour, but I want to try the 15° with the graphite shaft and I will see what works for me hehe.

Thanks for your advices mate! Regards!
