All. We have a new API and all the markers were updated. Please mark them read when you have a chance.

Step 1, go here: https://thesandtrap.com/communitymap/markers/. Step 2: Click the forum icon, which will prompt you whether you want to mark them as read. Go ahead!

You can go there and click the icon to mark all as read.

I typed that quickly at a rest stop so another moderator should be along soon to add some more detail.

We recently switched map providers so a bunch of missing locations were imported or refreshed.

  • iacas changed the title to Marking Member Map Markers as Read

Seems like I have to do this every day - is there a way to block that page from coming up when I click "New Content"?

No, the Maps app processes like 100 per day.

So, it takes a few clicks, unfortunately.

  1. Click the grey bar (I'll leave the one there as long as it's processing them).
  2. Click the URL (https://thesandtrap.com/communitymap/markers/)
  3. Click the icon to the left to mark as read. Confirm "OK" on the button.

I could change the URL when you click the grey bar to the URL above saving a step, but people wouldn't have the directions, then.

I would run them all at once, but we'd run through our daily quota of map API calls.

    • Something just popped into my head, based on your mention of the folks who "know the rules" but are generally wrong.  Another comment I read was "the Rules ALWAYS said.....".  When I come across those I often go to  www.ruleshistory.com to see if the rules ever said that.  You can find every (almost?) version of the rules since the first set in 1744.  Its fun to return to the conversation and say "You're a little bit right, the rules said that at one time, but that changed in 1984.  You've been playing under the wrong rule for 40 years!"
    • Hi, checking back in to see if any St. Louis area golfers get together for a round or three during the year.  I have recently dropped my membership in a local league this year to work on my game and meet other people.  I would love to hear from anyone that would be interested in meeting for a round in the St. Louis area.   Rick
