Got a set of 3 of the callaway MAck Daddy wedges and love them.  So much that thinking of replacing my taylormade irons with Callaways.

Question is which irons best match the feel, look and performance of the Mack Daddy wedges?  I do like the Rouges and could be tempted to buy them.  Havnt tried any other Callaways.

Callaway Mavericks. However, the colors can be customized on your Mack Daddy wedges so you could make them look nice with just about any club brand!

Just curious, what is it you like about them?
If it's the look, you have a chance.

If its the feel, then I'm not sure any irons will "feel" like wedges.

If its the performance, you may be in trouble. Wedges and irons kind of do different jobs and a manufacturer of one is likely to have an entirely different engineering team working on the other.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Its the performance and feel of them.  Get lots of spin and hence control in approach shots.  Very easy to hit.  You think their iron equivalent would not tick the same boxes?

Go somewhere and try out all of the various Callaway irons and see what works best for you. You might find their irons aren't for you but the wedges are, who knows? Wedges and irons are two completely different things. Separate R and D departments. Titleist uses an old geezer to make their wedges and there are a load of Tour players using Callaway, Taylor Made, etc. irons but Vokey wedges. Seriously, go to the shop and try them out, you are the best judge of what works for you. You might wind up going with Ping or something other than Callaway.

    • Context:  I used to play golf very regularly (and when I'm playing regularly, I'm on TST regularly).  In summer 2022, I got my handicap down to a personal-best 11.9.  Unfortunately, in the three years since then, I've had far less time to play, and didn't really make the time to practice.  I've played a bit more the past few months, and I anticipate having a lot more time to practice starting in about two months, at which point I'm hoping to go back to my old practice habits (practicing daily, Evolvr lessons, spending more time on TST (come to think of it, I can do that important last part now)).   But it was thinking about how different my nines have been a few times in the past month or so that made me wonder if there was a thread here about it, and sure enough, there was.  In the past month or so, I've had a 38-46 and a 45-39.
    • Day 2 - range session. Focus on tempo. Not as good as last time, but good.
    • Happened to me today.  I was with 3 others on a par 5 around 200 yards from the green and I watch these two young girls (200 yards away, I guess 8-10) walk their bikes out onto the golf course, head right for the green and proceed to walk right through the middle of it at which point I yelled at them to get off the green which they did.  On the next green, a guy who I would think was their father, comes out screaming at us and threatening us for yelling at the girls.  He came out a second time when we were on the next tee box screaming obscenities again along with more threats.  My wife doesn't think it's my place as a member to say anything.  Your thoughts?
    • Day 89 (29 July 25) - Moved up to the mid-irons in the backyard drills today complete with hard foam balls…focus remains on setup and tempo.

You can do a percentage, or just do 100%. If they're already salty about a 12.4 becoming a 10… I don't know that docking it to an 8 with 80% will go over all that well. If the higher handicaps are winning way too often, a percentage is often warranted. It affects them more than the low handicappers (22 x .2 = 4.4, 2.2 x .2 = 0.44).
