Not a bad video. Not sure about the poster frame, but… they spend time in the sand. Since Bryson is a LIV player now, he's more comfortable in sandy environments, I guess.

I thought the same after watching it. I kind of like the idea about using a bunker to help with controlling low point.

The problem is finding a bunker out of which you can rip 7Is.

I liked it very much. Keeping the pressure through the low point past the ball is counter intuitive for most weekend warriors like me. I too pick the ball most of the time. The sand drill seems to make sense.

Good video! The feedback of using a line in a bunker to improve low point control makes a lot of sense to me. Also, Dechambeau seems like he is able to communicate what he's looking for Shiels to do really well.

    • One reason the 3 wood is staying more straight could be because it creates more backspin than the driver which will help hold a more straighter shot.
    • So it's gonna happen the surgery that is on the 28th of February. I guess I should  be excited but I'll defer that to when I can lace up the spikes again.
    • I do not. Tiger doesn't miss a green by 30 yards. From the fairway. And it's not like it was one shot. Several golfers had troubles.
    • To your second point - I think we all have seen videos of top tour players hitting balls on the range and they call out the distance before getting the number from trackman - and they are amazingly accurate. But on the course they will occasionally hit a shot longer than they intended. (the commentators invariably attribute it to nerves/wind gust/adrenaline etc.) I think maybe the "environment" inside the venue is affecting their senses/feel. Which brings up a question in my mind as to how important are a players senses involved in the golf shot. What percentage is "feel" versus "mechanics". In my case, anecdotally, I have a harder time getting the distance correct if I cannot see the bottom of the flag stick.   PS:
