Hello everyone,

Happy to have found this forum after getting it recommended by a local website.

I'm an average golfer, not great and not terrible, but I love the game and play as often as a brand new dad can (1-3 times a week in my case). The last few months I've lost over 20 kg of weight (40+ lbs) so I'm currently working hard on learning how to golf without the massive belly 😆

Lately I've started looking at going abroad to play more. So I'm hoping to find some advice on that, on top of getting stuck in fun threads. Happy to be here 👋

    • Day 68: Quick work with some foam balls. Trying to combine not making my right leg into a pole with slightly earlier weight forward.
    • Good range session. Key points Controlling my left knee better. shorter backswing wrist flex I still need to get better at turning while doing wrist flex stuff and the lead leg straightening. Trying to do two things at once is tricky.
    • I googled a bit and not claiming it as fact but here's my understanding.. Carl Petterssen (Mr. Five wins) = Swedish. Swedish pancakes are iconic. So someone's highly fertile brain decided that 5 wins = CP = Swedish = Swedish Pancakes. There is no other logic connecting five PGAT wins or golf in general to pancakes.
    • But, now you have an idea. The Shotgun Start podcast has nicknames for a lot of players. The Unofficial Shotgun Start Nickname Encyclopedia - Google Sheets
    • Ok, thanks.  I still really don't get it, but that's OK.
