Scorecard 1.3 (for Windows) is available here:

http://cynicalpeak.com/downloads/SCWin31beta.zip

If you're a registered user, please consider downloading it and giving it a try.

Some notes:
1) Back up your database first. No DB changes occur in this release, but better safe than sorry.
2) Changes include new stats (see the bottom of the stats window for the best/worst stuff), new graphics in the HTML stats pages, an "update notification" feature, and the ability to keep your database on something like a thumb drive by using a shortcut.
3) Post here in this thread with any bugs you find. We're not looking for feature requests here.

I tried installing the new version, but when I try to launch Scorecard now, I receive 'Scorecard has encountered an error...' message. I would like to try uninstalling an reinstalling the program, and I would like to know which file(s) I need to save before uninstalling to try and preserve my scores. If I can't, no big deal. Thanks for your help.

Hi Keith,

Could you please send Scorecard's log file to support@cynicalpeak.com ? You can find it by opening an explorer window, then entering %AppData%\Cynical Peak\Scorecard into the address field.

This location also stores your database. The Scorecard (Scorecard.scorecard) file. You can back it up to be safe when you do the reinstall. It contains all of your course and round data. I'd also recommend adding it to your backup rotation if you don't want to risk losing your data.

Thanks,

Brad

I currently have Scorecard 1.2.4, are the upgrades free or do I have to buy it again to get 1.3 (and if they are free how do I access them)?

By the way, great job on Scorecard Erik, it has really helped my game through showing me what parts of my game are weakest. Thanks!

Just download it - it's a free update. We may charge for 1.5 if we are able to add iPhone/iPod Touch capabilities, but otherwise the next "paid" upgrade will be to 2.0.

    • @Phillyk “When it comes to set up routine in regards to alignment, I generally prefer my students to: 1) clubface, 2) chest and 3) feet. When the foot alignment happens before chest alignment, we tend to have issues. “ Thanks for your input, I never really checked my shoulder/ chest alignment closely. I’ve tried it the last couple of rounds and it was nearly always aiming way right. Today I experimented a bit and walked into a shot, mainly checking shoulder alignment, and setting feet to match.  Felt much more comfortable & I had good results,  Still a work in  progress.

    • Day 66: Priority piece work with 7-iron, mostly half swings but a few full swings at the end. Also focused on path which was has been getting OTT wipey.
    • Day 163 - More work on impact position and footwork. A lot of partial swings, working up to some slow full swings.
    • Yeah, it’s the local course where I live. Closest next one is over an hour drive away. Longest club I bring is a 4i, so not a long one, but tricky to get around. Small landing spots, elevation changes, small greens.
