If you're shooting 71 after 9 months, Tiger had better watch out. That's godly ability.

Hahahaha....

Good one Actually Im playing from the green tees and what make my game a LOT better is just slowing down my swing. I used to go "balls to the wall on my swing" and it was going everywhere. Then I read an article by Freddy Couple and when I try it , it work like a charm. Im not a big hitter , my drive goes 230/245 but in a 10 yards radius of where I want it. (Taylor made r7 , 14 grs weights on the hell , shaft S ,3/4" shorter from standar) Anyway , thanks for the support to all of you , The hooters cup sounds like a good chance to make some points.

do you have a list of courses you play at? I've never seen green tee boxes before. I'd love to see the yardage compared to the white, blues, gold & blacks.
It really is amazing that you can shoot 71 - 84 with a 245 max drive. your long iron ball striking must be on POINT. that's like mediate status right there.
short driver on tour, but can score well. my long game sucks... which is why I have to rely on big drives of 260 - 280 with a 300 here and again just so i can have a good 5 - sw approach shot.

I had a 71 once....thru 17 to go bogey on the 18th to finish with a 76 which has been my best score.

I play a lot at The tradition , Highland Creek , The Divide , The Renassoince and others clubs around here in Charlotte. Las week I was in vacation at Myrtle beach and play at the Mytlewood and put a 82 with a lot of wind.
I never care about the level of course , so I'll start payong more attention to it.

I know this might sound ridiculous , but I decided to go Pro.

"What does it take to become Pro?" I'd say for starters to shave about 25 strokes off your handicap. To put everything into perspective read "Paper Tiger" and go watch a local mini tour event. I will bet you will see some of the best golf that you have ever seen. Keep in mind that these guys are no where near the Tour. Hell, the top two golfers on a HS team in my area are +3.2 and +1.4 handicaps at 17 years old. That is your competition......good luck

Define "pro", there are many different levels of "pro".

You lose amateur status if recieve a prize larger then like $1k, say a car as a hole in one prize or something. You don't become pro but you can no longer enter amateur events. You are also a pro if you get paid to teach golf. There are many pro tours besides the PGA tour, it just so happens that it is the top tour. Even Canada has it's own tour but the top money winner from last year only made about $90K in 12 events and the lowest made $271.00 in 14 events. I am sure you make more for making a cut on the PGA tour then finishing first on the money list on the Canadian tour :P

Just shave 25 clicks off that 20 index and you're good to go!

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
