Rocco Mediate defeating the #1 player in the world to become the oldest player ever to win the US Open Championship.

or

Tiger Woods over coming his knee "issue" to win his 14th major.

I think Tiger winning #14, the past 5 days proved how hard it is. Seems like the Majors have 1 or 2 guys are going to shoot lights out and challenge Tiger. The last 5 will probably be as difficult, now that Tiger is getting a little age ...."handicaps".

Rocco's would've been a pretty big deal. I was rooting for him to take down Tiger but the fact that it was a wounded Tiger wouldn't have made it as impressive.

Rocco deffo - He would have been a great champion, what a genuine smile too.

To be honest - Tigers fist pumping and over-celebration has led him to lose favour in my household. For instance, Lee Westwood had just missed a putt to get in the playoff (gutted, in his own words) and has to watch Tiger and Steve Williams go mental before he can shake his hand and sign his card.

I've never seen Tiger say/mouth "thank you" after holing a 2 foot double bogey putt as Rocco did on Saturday. What a nice guy - glad to be there, It was a joy to watch him. One of my favourite golfers.

Now we have to put up with the media saying "Tiger is on schedule for his second Tiger Slam" - and crap like that.

I think the headlines would always have been about Tiger. If Rocco had won it would have been 'Tiger loses US Open marathon...suspect knee trips ailing champ'. You'd have had to read to paragraph two or three to find out who actually won...
