Reputation and User names

Recently I have received a number of negative reputation points that I feel are unwarranted. My problem is I don't know who sent them. When you leave reputation for someone, be it positive or negative, it would be nice to be able to see who left it. I am a member of another message board where the name is automatically left if you rep someone or they rep you. I am not looking for a fight just would rather explain my remarks to the person who had a problem with them. So to the mods, is there a reason your name does not come up automatically?

Not gonna happen. People are free to leave their username if they want, but the anonymity guarantees that you can't retaliate against someone if they give you negative reputation.
