I bought a Nikent 3DX square head for $140 and I must say its the best investment I ever made. Straight every time and avg 300yrd drives but you should always test your club first before you buy.

I know a lot people who use Nickent woods and love them

Try demoing some of the new drivers out there. A lot of the new drivers will have similarities to their predecessors. I bought my driver a few years back without hitting it. Because I had two taylor made drivers before it, I felt pretty comfortable with it soon after I started playing it.

Hippo Hex driver, Ugly

Know 2 guys that have them and love them. One guy is a pretty long hitter and a 9 hcap (275 - 300), former college baseball player, (so lets stop any "the internet adds 30 yards stuff") I think they were selling for $160 on TGW months ago, probably much cheaper now.

Golf Galaxy has them for $159 at the moment, or even better Rockbottom had them with prolaunch blue for $149 now thats just insane for such a good driver, only problem is they only have regular flex.

the cleveland is a great club - if you want to buy a shaft $65 shipped for a hof patriot in x stiff

Ya i live around there too, North Kildonan. I love Selkirk as well.

I actually used to work a Rossmere. I worked in the maintenance department as a summer job when I was 15. Unfortunately I was not really into golf at the time so I only play it once or twice.

I have never played the Meadows. I will definitely give it a try. As for the driver I think I got a list I can go look at and demo if possible. Thanks guys.

I just bought one from Golf Galaxy for $150. I traded my Big Bertha 460 in for the HiBore. I absolutely love this driver and think it is a steal at that price.

The thing about TM drivers it that there are so damn many of them that you can find one lightly used for cheap and because they come out with new ones so often there are always used ones on the market from people upgrading all the time.

I used to hit a Taylor Made 510 until the face cracked. I demoed a Cobra SZ400 tour and haven't looked back. It's straight, forgiving and I can move it left or right. It's not obnoxiously huge, but it does have a high face, so you might have to get used to it. You can get one on ebay new for about $100. Make sure to get the tour since that one doesn't have the closed face and will come with the Fujikura shaft.

Right now, rockbottomgolf.com is closing HiBore XL's (Tour and non-Tour versions) for $139.

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Just purchased an Adams Insight XTD Pro 9.5 stiff.

It was $199.99 at Golf Discount.

Hit about 6-8 diff drivers on site with computer testing my swing

Took it out to course and well its beautiful, to me anyway

IMO best bang for your buck of the newer drivers.

I was looking at drivers and I found some on ebay that say "This is an Asset Recovery driver and has both Serial number and No Warranty stamped on the hosel." Obviously this means theres not warranty but what does "Asset Recovery driver" mean?

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
