My current 3 wood is a XPC (I think was made by golfsmith) its probably 10 years old and has a steel shaft. I would love to get something more modern and would be easier to hit. I found on the internet a hippo for around $39 and Nickent 3DX pro for $69.99. It comes with a Aldila VS Proto shaft. This is about as much as I want to spend. Thanks for any suggestion

Why not an Adams Redline RPM there like $60-$70... You may even be able to get a Cleveland launcher from 06 for like that price too... my 3-wood was only $70... I bought it at Wal-Mart and just re-shafted it...

If your willing to go 2nd hand you can normally pick up the cleveland launchers (same as my signature) for around $40 from 3Balls which is fantastic value for a great club.

You think the Adams Redline RPM or the Clevland launcher would be better than the Nickent? The have the Adams GT 500 for $49.99, Are there a difference between the redline RPM and the regular RPM. Thanks

I'll sell the 3wood thats in my sig. It's a launcher with a stiff shaft, obviously used. Let me know if you're interested.

Are there much difference between the 2006 launcer and the Launcher Ti. I also checked 3 balls and they are out of these at this time. Callaway has them for around $50.

I'd buy used before getting something new that is really cheap personally. That is, unless you hit the really cheap new one well.

Used Corvette or new Cavalier? Get the point?

    • The course is playing tough. We’re only about 50 miles away. It very windy here and going to get worse. They’re all dressed like it’s the British Open!
    • Have posted in a while or practiced for that matter. Dealing with a few medical issues. But I was able to practice and film today. I’ve played 5 times this year. Misses have been pulls or heavy shots. I feel this has a lot to do with my lower back issues. When I feel good, I get good rotation and I hit the ball well. Today I felt good. Hips and lower back felt nice and flexible. I worked mainly on the hands feeling from the top. The club head should feel like it’s going down and away from the ball and target at the start of the downswing. The right knee should stay a little flexed at the top. These are the only swing thoughts other than high hands (arms going up) I’ve been focused on. I did PW, 6 iron and Driver today. Here is PW. The hands look better as does the knee in the rehearsal. The knee gets more straight in the actual swing.   My left arm is not straight at impact, which it has never really been. But that’s not the focus of this practice.   6 iron looks better than last time. Driver also looks better than last time. Playing tomorrow. Hopefully my body will cooperate.

    • The way to practice this is not at full speed, even if you do manage to "change" something. But no, not quite like that. That's a late lift, but you still have the early roll, and you stand up too much in that swing (likely in trying to "lift" — the "lift" is relative to your torso, not the ground).
