i like your options, but pls go try the titleist ZM forged irons. Best player irons i've tried to date and I've almost tried them all.

Theres not much between in terms of quality and performance.
Go to a shop and try them out and get fitted .
I personally would love to get a new set of Mizuno's. But now i'm getting off topic

I went with the Mizuno MP-57 for the great feedback and that little extra bit of forgiveness. A very consistent iron and great to look at. I have wanted Mizuno's for years and now that I have them I will never play anything else!

I think the best thing to do is to get fitted for the clubs YOU want, whether it'd be Titleist, Mizuno, Bridgestone, Callaway, or Nike. However, from the choices you've put together, I'd say try the AP2's or MP-57's for the playability and feel combined with the forgiveness they provide. If you want to know more about them, read all the stuff The Sandtrap has on those clubs...

Just picked up a set of MP57's after hitting about 10 different sets. Very smooth, solid and forgiving.

However, if you get fitted and try them all out your results will most likely different in one way or another so I'd recommend a trip your local fitting center.

I say Mizuno because I really like mine. But I would make sure to try all of them though and make sure that the one you decide fits you the best.

try 'em all out. I just went this route and actually liked my taylor tour burners the best.

FYI, irons I always play stiff, not X .. my swing speed with my driver is 115 - 120.

X just feels too strong on the irons.

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
