Well, I finally broke down and bought the irons I've been dreaming of since I first hit them. I played Pings from 1987-2006, picked up the Titleist 755's last year, and soon will be playing the Bridgestone J36 combo irons. It took about 4 months and 5 trips to the golf store but I finally confirmed these are the clubs for me. Surprisingly the Wilson Pi7 was a close second. Looking forward to getting them in my bag. Also, the Project X Flighted 6.0 shafts were a better fit then the S300.

Why are the Project X shafts better for you than the S300? I have been considering trying the shafts as it seems a lot of people are switching.

Congrats on the new clubs too

I hit a ton of long irons off the tee and the flighted shafts seemed to hit the ball a little higher then the S300's…..which is right up my ally since my ball flight is pretty low to begin with. I found the regular Project X shafts very similar to the S300 though. Ultimately, the Project X's were a tad smoother and gave me the ball flight I was looking for.

I will say this, the flighted shafts are more suited to someone that hits down on the ball (I fall into this category), the non flighted shafts are for more of a sweeping swing.

I hit down on the ball. I wonder if I should have a club put together with a project x flighted.....
