Had a match today. I played the 4 spot, which is what I'll usually play (2 seniors, 2 juniors, 4 freshman) shot 45 and tied against a kid who cheated.

if the guy you played cheated...call him on it, i do that whenever my guy cheats

yesterday i was 3rd spot and shot a 40 in our victory of 212-218... i was playing pretty crappy through 6 but then when birdie-par-birdie on the last 3 holes

I saw my golf coach at a course today after I had finished playing with a few of my buddies (shot 83) so I went up and said hello, and as soon as he greeted me back I got an enormous whiff of pure Jack Daniel's.

He proceeded to repeat the same four sentences while we played a hole together (I 3 putted for bogey; I'm lucky he won't remember it though), but it was still a lot of fun to see him in the real world being a hammered goofball. It got me really excited for the season, then disappointed because it's 5 months away.

Awesome! I'm guessing with those scores we will end up seeing you on the Pga tour? Lol. Good Luck!

Its not always how you drive the ball, but how it arrives.

    • Reviving this old thread as it seems most relevant to my question on "what is OB". I was playing a casual round by myself yesterday early in the AM. I pull my tee shot that lands near a road and then rolls across the road to the far side. I tee another up and land near the fairway. I was going to forget about the first tee shot, buy a man taking an early morning stroll points out where my ball ended up. I take a look and it is a great lie. I put it to 15 feet with my 54*, just miss my birdie putt and have a tap-in for par. Or do I? Here is the plan view of the hole: There are no white stakes anywhere, so I didn't think anything of it at the time. Here is a street view: Now I picked up my 2019 version of the Rules of Golf and found this  2.1 Course Boundaries and Out of Bounds: Golf is played on a course whose boundaries are set by the Committee. Areas not on the course are out of bounds. The second sentence leads me to believe that the ball was out of bounds as it was not on the course. It is unusual for me to be there, but lots of people wind up over there. I have a two-day tournament coming up here, so I want to be prepared. I suppose I could inquire in the clubhouse about the composition of the "committee" and then ask them, but short of that what does this community think?

    • This is a fun leaderboard. I don't feel particularly vested in anyone specifically albeit we all know one man is looking like he will most probably put this championship to sleep by the time the day is over today. On a different note, I've changed my tune on BDC in the last year or so. I found myself applauding and genuinely happy for him for making the cut yesterday. Iffff a LIV guy wins this year I would rather it be him. Unlikely Scottie who seems to have supreme control of all his levers, he lives a bit more on the edge and yet has the perseverance and might I say, infectious positivity of a small time hustler. Dude just keeps hammering away. Love it.
