Depends on the lie, the green, pin position, what's between the ball and the green, the wind... etc.

In other words, It DEPENDS.

Depends on the situation. I am most comfortable using a 7-iron and "chipping" it up if the ground allows it, and definitely if there is tree trouble. If I don't think that will work, then my pitching wedge.

I posted this 3 weeks ago, but what a difference a little time and playing time make. Although I still like this shot and still have confidence in it, I now prefer the Pitching Wedge first, then the 7-iron. I am beginning to spin the ball better and I notice more often that my ball is finishing BEFORE my ball mark (not most of the time, just a lot more than it used to!). So by being able to stop the ball better, I find myself going for more pins than in the past.

Can I change my vote?

8 or 9 iron, i dk why but i just do a lot better with them from that distance, yeah i know, crazy

Its not always how you drive the ball, but how it arrives.
